A second-half goal from Jamie Harris was enough to secure a well-deserved victory for Bohemians on Saturday night and leave Finn Harps still struggling near the foot of the table.
Harris had the first real chance in the 16th minute when he seized on a mistake by Gavin Dykes, but Brian McKenna, dived smartly to his right to smother the shot.
McKenna again denied Bohemians in the 22nd minute when he scrambled back onto his line to save from Glen Crowe. The home side's only reply came from Johnny Kenny who blazed wide in the 27th minute after good work from Harkin. It took another fine save from McKenna, this time from a Graham O'Hanlon shot in the 45th minute, to ensure the sides were still level at the break.
The second half was a much more dour affair, and while Bohemians continued to enjoy the greater possession, they failed to carve as many chances as they did in the first half.
Indeed, the first real chance fell to Harris in the 72nd minute when he was played through by O'Hanlon and this time McKenna had no answer to a crisp shot that flew into the of the net.
