Blackrock College 51 St Patrick’s 0:Here was a modern day David and Goliath show and though plucky St Patrick’s, Navan embraced the challenge put in front of them, eventually the gulf in class was bound to tell.
First-half tries from flanker Richard Dunne, outhalf Conor Dean and hooker Eric Olden (two) helped Blackrock establish a 24-0 interval lead. Scrum-half James McGowan added two conversions. Further tries by Matthew O’Callaghan, Olden and Andrew Murphy helped ’Rock complete the rout.
