Trainer Kim Bailey has been charged over allegations that he conspired with a private investigator to commit burglary. Lambourn- based Bailey has been bailed to appear at Bow Street Magistrates' Court on December 17th.

Bailey, who trained Alderbrook and Master Oats to win the Champion Hurdle and Cheltenham Gold Cup respectively in 1996, was initially arrested in October and released without charge.

The arrest followed secret surveillance which was understood to have been mounted after police had been contacted by jumps jockey Jamie Osborne.
