Ardscoil Ris coasted into the semi finals of the Munster Schools Senior Cup when they over ran Limerick rivals, St Clement's, by 46-5 at Thomond Park yesterday.

The result was never in doubt from the time that centre Gearoid O'Neill touched down for the first of eight tries for Ardscoil Ris after only two minutes. That score was converted by Tom Cregan, who also added the points to three further first half tries touched down by Bobby Sexton, Niall McNamara and Kieran Bermingham.

That left Ardscoil 26-0 ahead and even though they faced the wind in the second half, they remained in total control. Second row, Paul O'Connell scored three tries and there was another for substitute, Paul Reidy. The only reply from St Clement's was a try by Brian Begley.
