To celebrate the 21st anniversary of Munster's victory over the All Blacks at Thomond Park, former Garryowen rugby player John Breen, has written a play called Alone it Stands, which will be performed by the Yew Tree Theatre Company.

Described as a hilarious romp through the events of the day, it will be performed on September 17th and 18th in Waterpark Rugby Club, Ballinakill, Waterford. In what might end up being one of the most powerfully dramatic scenes the theatre-going Irish public have ever seen, the cast will attempt to dramatise Seamus Dennison's famous opening tackle against All Black Stu Wilson, which led New Zealand coach Russ Thomas to describe Munster as `Kamakizee tacklers'.

Well worth seeing.
