Nuts, cod, bananas (straight), magic mushrooms, pig's ear, half-baked beans, blind stew, bluff bourguignon, Lancashire hotchpotch, curate's egg, headbangers and mash, sour grapes, fudge, humble pie, porkie pies, pie in the sky, over-egged pudding, backstop rashers, chicken-livered pâté, hoary old roast chestnuts, cooked goose, and spotted dick, perhaps? – Yours, etc,
