Sir, - I applaud the decision of An Bord Pleanala to refuse permission for the proposed visitor facilities at Mullaghmore, and the reasons for its decision, especially the clear assertion that in a national park, conservation should take precedence when conflicts arise.
I hope that, after a decade of notoriety and so much squandered resources, Mullaghmore and its environs will be allowed to slip back into the obscurity they deserve, and that they will be conserved from further degradation and conflict. - Yours, etc.,
