Sir, – I have to take exception to Marie Lavin (July 14th) calling those who disagreed with the verdict in Mauritius “misinformed”.
Many people followed the trial impartially and with respect to the Mauritian criminal justice system, formed a different opinion. If the cases of the Birmingham Six and Guildford Four prove anything it’s that juries are not infallible. – Yours, etc,
