Sir, – In your regular feature on menu mistakes, you highlight an amusing contribution from a Carlow menu which offered a “Chick Pee Puree” (July 26th).
Your caption suggests this might be “siightly (sic) off-putting”. Is this a case of the pot calling the kettle slack? – Yours, etc,
