Madam, - Minister for Energy Eamon Ryan warns that we may have electricity cuts this winter; and, much more ominously, we also have the threat of global warming. Yet already, in the middle of November, there are Christmas lights using up energy. Surely, in the name of sanity, we should be cutting back, or better still eliminating, this unnecessary and profligate use of electricity generation and the emissions caused by it. - Yours, etc,
