Sir, - As a regular theatre-goer in Dublin I was a little surprised by the shortlist for the ESB/Irish Times theatre awards, published recently. While I know that both the Abbey and Gate theatres consistently have plays of high quality, I wonder if any of your reviewers attended Twelve Angry Men at Andrew's Lane Theatre. In my opinion, this was the outstanding theatre production of the year. - Yours, etc.,
