Sir, – Chris McCrohan (December 14th) quotes selectively from the Bible to support his assertion that God does not consider the “preborn” to be a human. Methinks he may have completely missed the Biblical commandment “Thou shalt not kill”.
Incidentally, miscarriage as the result of an assault is a great deal different from an abortion which is defined as the direct and intentional killing of an unborn baby. Let’s not be selective in our definition of basic human rights and those “deserving ” of same. History alone should make us extremely wary of going down that particular path. – Yours, etc,
