Madam, - Having seen Croke Park open its arms to the IRFU and international rugby in the recent weeks, I am eagerly awaiting the FAI's debut in this magnificent arena. Again a "non-Gaelic" sport will be played against one of our British neighbours. I believe that showcasing Croke Park on such an international stage has been one of the most influential decisions made in promoting Ireland as a progressive and dynamic country.
From an expatriate perspective, I was immensely proud to finally share the Croke Park experience with international colleagues and friends. Congratulations to all those involved in making this possible. I hope the soccer team can match the standards set by their rugby counterparts. - Is mise,
