Sir, - It is good to see services for the mentally handicapped being discussed in your paper. Dr Mark Harrold (Opinion, September 13th) is a man who has his finger on the pulse of the matter. As a widowed mother of a handicapped son, I can say that his words echo every thought that goes through the mind of every parent in a similar situation.
