Madam, - What a litigious society we have become! I have every sympathy for Mr Bob Ross (charged £18 by Ryanair for a wheelchair at Stansted airport) as I have for anyone who suffers discrimination of any sort.

However, I understand that Mr Ross paid only £10 for his ticket to France and, in my view, his passage, even at £28 including wheelchair, was a bargain for which he should be grateful.

Back in 1994, Ryanair charged me £12 for the use of a buggy but I would never have considered taking the airline to court. "No frills" means "no frills". - Yours, etc.,
