Sir, - I am fed up with all the beef in the media about Church scandals, Ministers disturbing the sensitivities of apparently impressionable judges and so on when the real scandal of the massive price increases in our shops - and the efforts by the great and the good to disguise them - are ignored by those self-proclaimed protectors of the common good called the media. It is time journalists and media types came into the real world.
For those who have nothing, a one per cent increase under the terms of the PCW in April is still nothing. Politicians please take note. - Yours, etc.,
