Sir, - With respect to Margaret Clayton (October 27th), concerning the bringing of terrorists before international courts, I would like point out that it took a bombing campaign lead by the US and all the suffering that it entailed, to stop Slobodan Milosevic's butchering of the Muslim population in Bosnia and to ultimately bring him to justice before international courts.
While I too am upset by the plight of the Afghan people, I think their suffering began prior to October 2001, when the Taliban came to power. - Yours, etc.,
