Sir, - The Minister for Finance has once again given more tax relief to a single person than to married couples. The Minister has done so in a Budget introduced with a level of creative accounting as if there was no tomorrow!
But there will be one. And to think that this Budget comes from a Minister who earlier this year poured scorn on all our EU partners who dared suggest that he had been overheating the economy!
As negative equity begins to loom in the property market, the danger of a hard landing for the economy increases. - Yours, etc.,
