Sir, – John McDwyer (Jan.uary 27th) was slightly off-key when he said that Joe Lynch was foil to Din Joe on Radio Éireann's Take the Floor show long ago. Not so. That punchline was always delivered by the much-loved entertainer and singer Charlie Byrne on the hugely popular Living with Lynch. I recall, along with other schoolboys, going to recordings of the show in the Gate Theatre and being put in the front rows, where we were encouraged to laugh loudly at the jokes. — Yours, etc,
