Madam, - Page 12 of Wednesday's edition carries a five-column photograph of Prince Charles and another man standing in a Cambridgeshire field.

It isn't a particularly striking image, nor does it illustrate an article. So it seems odd that it has been given more space than the piece directly beneath it, about the recent uprising in Georgia (one of several typically excellent articles on international events in that edition.)

We are told that Prince Charles can't manage to face the day unless a manservant first squeezes the toothpaste onto the toothbrush for him. Even so, the happy fact that His Royal Highness is able to stand in a field (apparently unaided) hardly belongs on a page that is headed "World News". - Yours, etc.,
