Posters lacking printers' names

Madam, – It seems like only yesterday that the political literature was cascading through the letter box for the last referendum. Now it has started all over again for the elections.

It makes me laugh to look at the sincerity in the faces beaming down at me from every other lamp post. Since the recession started they have been trying to outdo each other by telling us who would do a better job of fixing our economy.

Maybe they could start by getting say 60 per cent of their printing done in Ireland and maybe the remainder in other parts of the EU?

The Electoral Act 1992 states that they must refer to the name of printer on all literature and posters, but none of the posters I have seen have carried any reference to origin of printer used.

Or could it be that the printing is being done for free? Maybe a few more million of taxpayers’ money could allow Justice Moriarty to investigate. – Yours, etc,
