Madam, - Your call for action on global warming is overdue (Editorial, November 28th). Yet you fail to mention the single most important factor in the degradation of the planet - the rapidly increasing human population.
With the current increase of 80 million annually (see United Nations website) there is little chance of reversing climatic warming; nor can we solve the widespread and elusive problem of poverty. - Yours, etc,
