Sir, - The Department of Philosophy, University College, Dublin, in association with the European Society for Analytic Philosophy, is holding an international conference on the work of the great Polish philosopher and logician Jan Lukasiewicz (July 7th-10th).
Lukasiewicz came to Dublin in 1946 and was a professor of logic and philosophy at the Royal Irish Academy until his death in 1956.
