A chara, – Carl Dennis says that the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (also know as Pastafarianism) is a religion (June 16th). It is not. It is a fiction created for the sole purpose of mocking religion, which is not the same thing at all.
He also says that while parents may have the right to teach their children about faith at home, taxes should not be used for faith formation in schools. He seems to forget that parents and their extended families are taxpayers also.
The idea that they should have no say in how their tax money should be spent is as noodle-headed as trying to suggest that people really worship pasta. – Is mise,
