Sir, - Recently I heard Mr Pat Kenny of RTE call out over the national airwaves the salary scale of an Irish nurse, comparing it with salary scales in other countries.
Perhaps he would care to announce the salary scale of a radio broadcaster/chat-show host and compare it in the same way.
He could also compare the contribution to society made by the broadcaster and the nurse. Let's face it: nobody has ever died from not hearing or seeing Mr Pat Kenny, or indeed from missing the Late Late Show. - Yours, etc.,
