Sir, - My attention has been drawn to the article by your Industry and Employment Correspondent, Padraig Yeates, in The Irish Times (February 1st). In an article relating to the current industrial dispute involving Irish nurses, reference is made to a case decided by this Court.
In your report you mention that the case "was referred to the European Court of Justice for a ruling by the Court of Appeal of England and Wales in 1991, but the decision was issued only late last year.
In fact Case C-127/92 Enderby v Frenchay Health Authority was lodged at the Court on April 17th, 1992 and judgment was delivered on October 27th, 1993, just over 8 months later. - Yours, etc.,
