One of the most fundamental points which seems to confuse people is the question of Irish representation in Europe. The Irish commissioner is not in Brussels to represent the interests of Ireland, the job of the commissioner is to represent the interests of all citizens of the European Union in the area for which they have responsibility. - Yours, etc.,
