Sir, - The Nice Treaty was rejected in the recent referendum primarily because of its anti-democratic implications. Is it therefore democratic of the Government to foist another referendum on the same subject, as appears to be its intention, on an electorate which has already voted unequivocally against it? - Yours, etc.,
