Madam, - Now that Irish Rail is making a profit, it is time that rail links to this region were re-established. The motor traffic on the roads is increasing all the time and there is severe pressure on private and commercial transport.
It is evident that bus services can barely cope with current demand, especially out of Dublin. Mass transit is important both for economic and environmental reasons and now, with the economy doing so well, it is time to consider the matter again. - Yours, etc.,
