IRISH-MADE PLAYING CARDS

MICHAEL GOODALL,

MICHAEL GOODALL,

Madam, - I am attempting to compile a history of Irish playing card makers and their cards of the 18th and 19th centuries. This does not seem to have been done before. It is not generally known, for example, that there were some 25 card makers in Dublin, including Fleming, Fullerton and King; cards were also made in Cork and Limerick.

I should be very interested to hear from any of your readers who might have information relating to Irish card makers or possess packs of their cards. - Yours, etc.,

MICHAEL GOODALL, Queenswood Road, St John's, Woking, Surrey GU21 8XJ, England.
