Investigating Gaza killings

Sir, – In Gaza on April 30th this year, about 20 people were killed by the Israeli army. Since then the death toll has risen to about 30.

Israel has announced that it will investigate the death of one person, a journalist, Yasser Murtaja.

The first man killed on Good Friday, Amr Samour, was hit by a shell fired from a tank before dawn when he was harvesting parsley, with no disturbance going on in the area. At least two people were shot in the back.
