Madam, - As an indiviudal working in the development sector, I was delighted to hear in yesterday's Budget that €728 million has been allocated for overseas development assistance (ODA) in 2007. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Government on this move toward meeting the goal of 0.7 per cent of gross national income as ODA by 2012.
In this Budget the Government has truly shown their commitment to meeting the millenium development goals. - Yours, etc,
