Sir, I read in the Daily Telegraph that in Cyprus three British soldiers, 1st Bn, Royal Green Jackets, convicted of conspiracy to rape and killing a Danish woman and sentenced to life imprisonment are to be, as one would expect, "automatically dismissed from the army".
