Madam, – Illegal dumping throughout Ireland appears to be on the increase again. Perhaps it is a reflection of these hard times – but it is also a measure of our lack of respect for one another and for our unique surroundings.
We hear politicians banging on about human rights, but never about human obligations. Surely the one demands the other? Without respect for each other and for the environment we are but little people living selfishly on an island of no consequence. Come on dumpers, don’t you think it’s time to take a pride in Ireland? – Yours, etc,
