Sir, - There is so much gloom in the papers these days, it was a joy to read the following: (1) Joe Carroll's hilarious account of his attempt to enter the recent White House garden party for the press in Washington (June 2nd), and (2) Fergus Linehan on "The Golden Boy - Milo O'Shea" (June 4th).
