A chara, – Reports concerning the genetic "editing" of human embryos are deeply troubling (Home News, August 4th).
Human life begins at conception. Yet these scientists are not only permitted to create distinct new lives for the purposes of experimentation, they are allowed to destroy those lives with impunity once they have no further use for them.
And that so few voices are speaking out in defence of these vulnerable fellow humans who are unable to speak for themselves is almost as disturbing as the experiments themselves. – Is mise,
