Sir, - At the launch of the Government's "family-friendly" website (The Irish Times, March 2nd), Ms Mary Harney said that a family-friendly approach to workers "goes far beyond what can be achieved by legislation". She added: "The more flexible an employer can be the better."
Coming, as it does, from a Government which financially penalises single-income married couples and their families by as much as £46.50 a week, this would seem to be a case of: "Do as I say, not as I do." - Yours, etc.,
