Sir, – On a recent visit to the National Aquatic Centre, which is a fantastic facility, I was dismayed to see the menu on offer in the cafe: burgers, chips and bacon baguettes dominated. It’s of little wonder that recent reports show one in four nine-year-olds are overweight in Ireland (Editorial, May 9th) when exercise and poor nutrition seemingly go hand in hand in this country. – Yours, etc,
