Sir, - Quidnunc published a short item (The Irish Times, October 31st) based on an item in European Voice, on a supposed request from President Gil-Robles to MEPs asking them to use their office showers to avoid them deteriorating.
In fact the article is totally without foundation. Neither the President of the Parliament nor the administration has asked the Members to do any such thing. The showers are cleaned weekly by the cleaning services. - Yours, etc.,
