Elegy for an urban greenspace

Sir, – In your article concerning the proposed rezoning and sale of the Harold's Cross greyhound stadium for housing ("Mount Jerome cemetery an 'escape' for locals, report claims", March 30th), consultants McCutcheon Halley Walsh claim that such an eventuality would not affect local residents as "the area is already well served by open space". It subsequently transpires that half of this "open space" is, in fact, Mount Jerome cemetery.

My eyes immediately wandered to the top of the page to confirm that the date of publication was March 30th. It would seem that this story has been published two days early. – Yours, etc,

CONOR LINEHAN,
