Madam, - The baths in Dun Laoghaire have been derelict for 30 years, having provided fun and a healthy pusuit to many generations. Times have changed and the council has no money to develop an exciting world-class facility without recourse to funding from the sale of apartments and shops.
The scale is for the planners and, after an oral hearing, An Bord Pleanála to decide. With a positive outcome, both current and future generations will again have the joy of a day out at the sea, with the attendant benefits to our local economy . - Yours, etc.,
