Sir, - People who forget or refuse to wear their seat-belts are no danger to anyone but themselves. People who insist on using mobile phones while driving are not only a danger to themselves but to anyone near them - cars, cyclists, pedestrians.

Surely gardai should concentrate their efforts on these selfish idiots, rather than on the careless, foolish non-seat-belt people. - Yours, etc.,
