Dog collar details

Sir, – The article on the legal obligations of dog owners (Health & Family, March 15th) was informative.

I think the insistence that the owner’s name and address be displayed on the collar is outdated. Having the relevant mobile phone number there would be more efficient and take up less space on the medallion.
