Sir, - The letter of December 21st from the Rev Edmond Coulter contains such serious allegations that he should either substantiate them, or withdraw them.
If he believes his letter to be true, let him describe the nature of these erroneous doctrines he claims to have been disseminated in the Church of Ireland Theological College. Then, if he has the courage of his convictions, let him name the teachers who taught them.
Until he does one or the other, not only the House of Bishops but also the teaching staff past and present - full-time or part-time (of whom I was one when he attended the college) - must seem to be under a cloud of suspicion. - Yours, etc.,
