Sir, - With reference to A. J. Rous's letter on slow roadworks on Church Road, Killiney, I suggest that it was nothing to do with the roadworks. It is an affirmation by the Church Road Residents' Association, abetted by some Thomastown Road residents, of their success in frustrating the development of Church Road, and consequently the road from the Graduate pub to the Glenageary roundabout.
Church Road is very dangerous. The plans for the Thomastown Road extension have been around for almost 30 years. Avondale Road has degenerated to a rutted racetrack, while the area around the Graduate resembles something out of a bomb site. - Yours, etc.,
