Sir, - I refer to your article about Cork Corporation's landfill site entitled "Rubbish to Generate Power", which refers to the improved facilities for recycling at the site. The physical layout of the facility has indeed been greatly improved. At a time when Cork Corporation and Cork County Council are jointly promoting recycling under their "20/20 Vision" programme however, it is very disappointing that 12 months ago, the Cork Corporation recycling centre stopped taking newspapers for recycling and now in the last few weeks it has also stopped taking cardboard.
