Sir, - Kevin Myers (An Irishman's Diary, February 21st) rightly agrees with Moore McDowell, who holds it wrong to compensate uninsured residents of Ringsend for flood damage - a commitment made personally by Mr Ahern on TV.
Your diarist, however, refers only to "a Government move" in relation to this commitment. This wizard prang by Mr Myers allows a jolly personal bash at that bounder, Michael "Noonanomics". The residents' friend, engaging in wet "Ahernomics", escapes unscathed! Not cricket. - Yours, etc.,
