A Chara, - May I ask when Christmas became "Christianity's most important season" (Tony McCoy O'Grady, September 11th)? I was taught that it is actually Easter which is the more important event.
Jesus's rising from the dead to new life is what the Christian religions are based on.
It would seem Mr McCoy O'Grady has been taken in by all the Christmas hype himself. I would gladly take "ghastly Hallowe'en wares" over exploitative Christmas hype any day. - Is mise,
