Sir, - What is Brown Thomas thinking of? In the last week of September I walked down Grafton Street and was horrified to see windows full of Christmas trees and all the trappings of December shopping. I couldn't believe that a responsible shop like Brown Thomas could set such a sad example.
Do we really have to have Christmas in September? I do hope the other shops will not feel forced to join them. Blatant commercialisation of Christmas is inevitable in December, but in September it is completely unacceptable. - Yours, etc.,
