Madam, - May I compliment the Abbey Theatre on its current production of Julius Caesar? I've always enjoyed watching good actors plying their trade.
One minor quibble, though. I hadn't been to the theatre for some time and noted a new, rather unwelcome development. Some people sitting a few rows in front of me were using their mobile phones to take pictures of the action on stage at regular intervals, and I found them very annoying and distracting, their bright screens diverting my attention away from what was happening on stage.
Perhaps the theatre management could incorporate a message asking patrons to refrain from this practice in the recorded announcement played before the start of the show. - Yours, etc,
